ACOUSTIC CIRCUS IS BACK: NEW DIGS, NEW NIGHT!!
I am happy to announce we will resume the Acoustic Circus Showcase series @ The Uncommon Ground, 3800 N Clark Street in Chicago.
When - Every last Thursday of the month, beginning May 31, show time 8 till 10pm.
Who - Each month will feature a set by yours truly, Brad Cole and Friends and will feature 2-3 guest artists each month. In addition we will have some theme nights planned. I can’t promise it will be all acoustic, but we wont blow your ears out.
What - Like our successful run at the Elbo Room in 2010 and The Charleston in 2008, we strive to bring you the best somewhat under the radar talent we can find, and create an evening of great music, full of spontaneity, fun, drama and earth shattering talent. I have spent the majority of the last 6 months on the road and shared the stage with some unbelievable great players that I need to bring to Chicago and share with you.
Why - The Uncommon Ground in Lakeview works on so many levels. First, they have a new live room that is bigger and better acoustics. It’s a great listing room with a special vibe. Then of course the food at UCG is anything but bar-food: It is a great, well-honed eclectic menu, and don’t forget, there is ample parking a block to the west.
